DUBOIS – One group is looking for your help to fund three revitalization projects in Downtown DuBois, seeking $150,000 dollars.

Brought forward by Downtown DuBois, as Executive Director Shirley Dahrouge says, this project aims to utilize three empty lots along West Long Avenue.

“It is a large undertaking,“ explained Dahrouge. “But it is something that the community will benefit from and be able to enjoy for years. So it’s a worthwhile endeavor for us to take on.”

One lot will have sheds placed in for potential entrepreneurs to set up shop. Another will establish a walkway surrounded by greenery and a dog park connecting the Scribner parking lot to West Long Avenue. The final lot will have a cascading slope leading to a small open air amphitheater setting up a pseudo “Town Square”

More information, including how to donate will be found on their website. Downtown DuBois hopes to have all necessary funding to begin these projects by the Fall.
