DuBois Man Arrested After Alleged High Speed Chase

DUBOIS – A DuBois man accused of selling drugs to a confidential informant is facing more charges after allegedly fleeing from police on a motorcycle.

We previously reported that 44 year-old Jeffrey Bearer was jailed after allegedly selling drugs to a confidential informant in DuBois.

On May 26th around midnight police began following a motorcycle, operated by Bearer, when it allegedly took off, running stop signs and traveling at high rates of speed.

Police say Bearer allegedly threw a backpack into a person’s yard on Susquehanna Street before running on foot and losing police. 

Authorities recovered the bag and motorcycle where they recovered Bearer’s phone, a glass smoking device, and suspected methamphetamines.

Bearer is now facing additional drug charges and fleeing charges. He is currently housed in the Clearfield County Jail.
