Pittsburgh Steelers – NFL Draft:

In the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft last night the Pittsburgh Steelers selected offensive tackle Max Iheanachor. It was the 21st overall pick in the draft, being held in Pittsburgh. The Steelers’ choice of Iheanachor from Arizona State is the third time in the past four years that an offensive lineman was picked by the team in the first round.

Pittsburgh Penguins:

It’s “do or die” time for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Philadelphia leads the Penguins three games to none in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Pens and Flyers face-off in Philly Saturday night.

Game four of the series has an opening puck drop time scheduled for 8pm. Listen for the Penguins pregame show on Connect FM at 7 tomorrow evening.

Brookville 5, Redbank Valley 3 – Dante Morey went 3-for-3 at the plate for the Raiders.

DuBois 9, Elk County Catholic 5 – Tess Tekely hit a home run, a triple, and drove in three runs for DuBois.

DuBois Central Catholic 12, St. Marys 3 – Both Lily Davidson and Virginia Myers smacked three hits for the Lady Cardinals

Redbank Valley 15, Brookville 5

Philipsburg-Osceola 6, Clearfield 0

Curwensville 11, Cranberry 6 – At the plate, the Lady Tide’s Addison Siple drove in two runs with a home run and a double, and on the mound she struck out eight Cranberry batters.

Penn State-DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State-DuBois baseball team will play a double-header at Penn State-Beaver today, while the Penn State-DuBois softball team is scheduled to host Penn State-New Kensington for a double-header today.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the Texas Rangers, 6-1, last night.

The Bucs start a three-game weekend series in Milwaukee tonight. Game time is 7:40. Tune in for the Pirates pregame show at 7:15 tonight on Connect FM.

Altoona Curve:

The Pirates’ double-A affiliate, Altoona Curve, exploded for 11 runs on 13 hits in Harrisburg Thursday night. The Curve beat the Senators, 11-2. This evening, Altoona faces Harrisburg in game four of the series at 7.
