DUBOIS – DuBois City Manager Joe Fleming has been elected second vice president of the Pennsylvania Municipal League for 2027, a leadership role city officials say benefit the community.

The Municipal League helps cities and boroughs address municipal challenges by sharing resources, discussing policy, and connecting officials with ideas to bring back to their municipalities.

Mayor Barry Abbot praised City Manager Joe Fleming’s new role, stating that it will be a benefit to DuBois.

“That just speaks kudos to Joe and what’s going to happen to our city with him being involved in the municipal league,” Abbott said.

The role gives Fleming another avenue to bring back ideas and resources that could improve city services and address local needs.
