District 9 Basketball Tournaments:
Tonight in Class 3-A girls, Brookville will take on Cranberry, and Moniteau will battle with the top-seed, Karns City.
Also tonight, the girls Class 4-A championship will be decided as Clearfield plays St. Marys.
The girls’ Class 1-A and 2-A semifinals games will be played on Wednesday. … In Class 1A, top-seeded DuBois Central Catholic will take on Clarion-Limestone, and second-seeded Otto-Eldred will go up against Elk County Catholic. … In Class 2-A, Brockway will take on top-seeded Keystone, and Kane will battle Port Allegany.
The boys Class 1-A matchups tonight include Elk County Catholic against Cameron County, while Johnsonburg will face North Clarion.
In boys Class 2-A tournament games tonight, Clarion battles Port Allegany, and Redbank Valley goes up against Moniteau.
The boys Class 3-A championship matchup is tonight … it has Brookville taking on Cranberry.
Also tonight, Clearfield faces St. Marys for the District 9 boys Class 4-A championship.

The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the New York Yankees in Monday’s Spring Training game in Bradenton, 6-2. This afternoon, the Bucs will play Boston in Fort Myers.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
