DuBois High School Rifle Team:
The DuBois High School rifle team won its match last night against the cross-town DuBois Central Catholic team. The final was DuBois 1,404; DCC 1,276. DuBois Central Catholic’s Elizabeth Osterman was the match winner with a score of 292. The top shooter for DuBois was Jackson Shaffer with a 289, which was also his personal best. Second place for DuBois was secured by Brady Kiskaddon with a 286, and Hailey Straub placed third with a 283.

Pittsburgh Penguins:
Two weeks from today, the Pittsburgh Penguins return to regular season action. On Thursday, February 26th, the Pens will host New Jersey.
Four Penguins will compete in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. Captain Sidney Crosby is once again playing for Canada at the tournament. Both Erik Karlsson and Rickard Rakell represent Sweden, and Pens’ goaltender Arturs Silovs will be in the net for Latvia during the Olympics.
