Entrepreneurial Sheds Placed in Downtown DuBois

DUBOIS – Downtown DuBois is buzzing with fresh opportunity as four new entrepreneurial sheds have been installed.

We previously reported that the group Downtown DuBois was launching this line of “incubator sheds”. The idea was to provide startup businesses an affordable space in the downtown to test their ideas, and grow their customer base, while bringing life to the downtown.

“It gives them the ability to see if it’s viable, and something they could then grow, that they can move into a brick and mortar location,“ explained Executive Director Shirley Dahrouge.

While these sheds are now in place, additional improvement is still in the works. Planned upgrades include accessibility ramps, public seating, electricity access, and plans to work with local food trucks.

Several local entrepreneurs have already expressed interest in setting up shop within these spaces when they become available in the Spring.
