Edward Clyde “Ed” Kroh, 75, of Brockway, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of those closest to him.
He was born May 5, 1951, in DuBois, PA, a son of the late Firl and Anna (Kocher) Kroh. He graduated from Brockway Area High School in 1969.
In 1984, Ed married the former Carol Mancuso. Their 42 years together were filled with love, family, and countless treasured memories.
Ed worked as a die setter at Brockway Pressed Metals for 38 years, until the plant closed. He took pride in his work and was someone his coworkers could always depend on.
Ed was a member of Brockway Presbyterian Church, where he served on several committees. He and Carol were foster parents, and Ed gave his time to the Jefferson County Board of Welfare. He was also a member of the Brockway Handgunners Association.
Above all, Ed was a loving father to his four sons, and his family meant everything to him. He will be remembered for his good heart, his great smile, and his willingness to help anyone who needed him. He never hesitated to lend a hand, and his kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.
In addition to his wife, Carol, Ed is survived by his sons, Tim of Brockway, Andrew (Neva Sypniewski) of Aldie, VA, Jim (Krista Fair) of Brockway, and Michael of Pittsburgh, PA; his brother, John (Bea) Kroh of Punxsutawney, PA; his sisters, Diane Conover of Knoxville, TN, and Judi Hebenstreit of Lenoir City, TN; many extended family members and friends; and his beloved cat, Spike.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Ellen “Punky” Verne.
Ed leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and devotion to his family. His smile, his caring heart, and the memories he made with those he loved will stay with all who knew him.
Forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.
Friends will be received on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Shugarts Funeral Home, Inc., 1033 4th Ave., Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Brockway Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David Nagele officiating. Burial will be in St. Tobias Cemetery in Brockway. A luncheon will follow at the church.
