DUBOIS – The Fountains at DuBois has expanded its personal care wing, adding more rooms to meet growing demand.
Administrator Tonya Gillaugh says the new wing is already more than half full, bringing the facility to 38 rooms.
“We did not expect to have the response that we have had,” explained Gillaugh. “We filled up very quickly, ran out of rooms. We had planned for an expansion down the road, it just happened to be needed sooner than later.”
The Fountains provides around-the-clock personal care, with a goal to allow residents to stay in a place that feels like home rather than a nursing home.
Currently the facility is also constructing a new memory care addition.
