DUBOIS – There’s a new monument in the DuBois City Park, celebrating the city’s recent consolidation and America’s 250th anniversary.
Former DuBois Rotary Club President Jay Lohn says the club partnered with the city to create a lasting tribute marking both milestones.
“This actually spearheaded as a side project that the city was willing to match our funds,” explained Lohn. “And then we just through many conversations and collaboration that we eventually decided on a monument.”
The monument project cost roughly $12,500 dollars with funding shared between the Rotary Club and the City of DuBois.
