Bettsy M. Kirk age 89 a Route 28 Brockway, PA (Sugar Hill) resident died on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Born on December 18, 1936 in Rockton, PA; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Delcie Kirk London. In January of 1960 she was married to Emil B. Kirk and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2010.
Bettsy had been employed in her early years at Brockway Glass. She was Presbyterian by faith. Bettsy enjoyed Diamond Painting and loved to dote over her cats.
She is survived by daughters Tena (Monty) Kunes of Reynoldsville, PA; Susan (Brian) Heasley of Strattanville, PA; a son Chris (Jan) Kirk of DuBois; a sister Linda Jewell of Rossiter, PA; a brother Olan (Linda) London of Luthersburg, PA; grandchildren Trenton (Megan) Kunes, Carley (Steve) Armagost, Kyle (Andrea) Kunes, Christian (Becky) Kirk Jr and Doug (Katie Perry) Heasley. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a sister Margaret Hickman, brothers Tom Kirk, Vern London, Jim London, Charles “Bud” London and Pat London.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 21 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway and again on Thursday, October 22 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM also at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rebecca Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens at Ridgway.
