DUBOIS – City of DuBois lawmakers have approved a new electronic sign in Memorial Park.

DuBois City Manager Joe Fleming says that the new display will replace the park’s broken and unrepairable sign and be used for emergency alerts, city announcements, nonprofit events, and other community messages.

“This would provide communication beyond any normal function for the public to see the events happening within our city,” explained Fleming.

Council approved spending around $62,800 from the Recreation Fund for the project.
