DUBOIS – DuBois City Council has unanimously approved a new policy aimed at strengthening internal controls over city finances.
City Manager Joe Fleming tells us that the new F1 policy creates more accountability for who is authorized to sign city checks..
“This way it separates it out for accountability purposes and responsibility purposes, because we’re talking about the people’s money,” explained Fleming. (0:47)
He went on to say that this also gives auditors clearer documentation of how city money is being handled
