State Prison Employee Accused of Smuggling

HOUTZDALE – An employee of a State Prison in Houtzdale is being accused of smuggling opioids into the facility.

According to police, between February and June 27 year-old Jared Bakaysa was allegedly caught smuggling Suboxone strips into the prison by K9 units.

When confronted, he allegedly admitted to bringing drugs into the facility three to four times in exchange for money from an inmate.

Now, he is facing multiple felony drug charges.
