Clearfield Woman Accused of Possessing Two Pounds of Meth

CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield woman is facing several charges after police discovered she had nearly two pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.

On July 29th State Police pulled over 34 year-old Alyssa English after she was allegedly driving unsafely. During the stop troopers noted English had signs of drug impairment.

After failing a field sobriety test, English was taken into custody and taken for a legal blood draw where she allegedly admitted to using methamphetamine prior to driving.

During a search of the vehicle police discovered a lockbox which contained nearly two pounds of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and a measuring container.

She is now facing felony manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and DUI charges.
