DUBOIS – A DuBois man has been jailed after allegedly raping a woman last year.
In November of 2025 police began an investigation into 55 year-old Robert Powlus after the victim told police that he allegedly raped her and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
When questioned, Powlus denied any sexual contact with the victim.
After collecting his DNA on July 1st 2026, police say it matched DNA found during the sexual assault examination.
He is now at the Jefferson County Jail where he faces rape, sexual assault, and indecent assault charges.
