CLEARFIELD – One arrest has been made in a Saturday night assault.
At around 11:24pm Saturday police were called to Rutch Street for reports of an assault. After investigation, police learned that the 20 year-old victim was assaulted by approximately six individuals causing serious injuries.
Police were able to locate and arrest one unnamed 19 year-old who allegedly used a club to strike the victim several times in the head. He is currently at the Clearfield County Jail.
The victim is currently at Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment.
Police anticipate more arrests in the near future.
