Body Cameras on All Pa State Troopers

UNDATED – Pennsylvania State Police have announced that all troopers in the commonwealth now have access to body cameras.

These cameras are meant to record all public interactions and calls for service, providing video recorded documentation of all encounters.

Not only does this achievement align with the department’s goal of using the latest technology, but it also allows evidence to be gathered in a way that doesn’t use an officer’s or witnesses’ recollected statement.

The goal of having body cameras for all officers began in the summer of 2023.
