Clearfield Man sentenced for drug/child endangerment charges

CLEARFIELD, PA – A Clearfield man will be serving extra time in state prison following his sentencing Friday for possessing drugs while living with a young child.

35-year-old Michael Gearhart pleaded guilty to charges of possession with intent to deliver and endangering the welfare of children in Clearfield County Court. He was sentenced to an additional term of 15 months to three years in state prison to go along with a sentence of 21 months to four years he is serving for other crimes.

Police say methamphetamine and various drug paraphernalia was found in Gearhart’s residence in July 2021.

Gearhart and Amber Dunsmore lived in the home with their five-year-old son. Police say Dunsmore will face similar charges in this case.
