PENFIELD – A Penfield man is going to spend up to five years in State Prison after pleading guilty to strangling a woman and starting a fire.

This stems from an August 2025 incident where police responded to a Huston Township residence after receiving reports that Dan Prebble had choked a woman and began lighting items on fire while the victim was inside a vehicle.

Now after pleading guilty to felony strangulation, reckless burning, criminal mischief, and simple assault, he was sentenced to spend between 20 months and five years in State Prison.

Prebble is also facing multiple drug charges after allegedly delivering over 100 grams of methamphetamines between 2023 and 2024.
