PENFIELD – A Penfield man is facing several charges after allegedly fleeing from police after a hit and run.
On April 15th police responded to a hit and run crash in Lawrence Township, police then learned that 34 year-old Donald Chesnet Jr. was allegedly involved in the crash before fleeing.
Police noted that Chesnet had a suspended license and an active warrant.
Police later found Chesnet driving on Harley Dean Road when he allegedly tried to flee from officers, eventually crashing into a ditch.
Officers were able to take him into custody where he allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana earlier that day.
He is now at the Clearfield County Jail where he faces fleeing and eluding, DUI, and multiple traffic violations.
