MAYPORT – A Mayport man accused of sexually assaulting a minor is now facing additional charges.
We originally reported that 40 year-old Charles Powell was charged with sexual assault after a victim claimed he allegedly sexually assaulted her in 2022.
Now, police say that numerous juveniles came forward claiming that Powell allegedly gave them alcohol several times in 2026. Others claimed he allegedly showed them photos of naked women.
Powell is now facing child endangerment, dissemination of explicit sexual materials to a minor, corruption of minors, and selling/furnishing liquor to a minor. He is still being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
