PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Clarion man is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting a police officer in Punxsutawney.
On April 19th state police were dispatched to Grove Lane in Bell Township for reports of a domestic dispute involving weapons.
Once on scene, police came into contact with 39 year-old Christopher Reynolds who was allegedly agitated and yelling at officers, when police attempted to detain Reynolds, he allegedly swung at and pushed police officers.
After being taken into custody, police spoke to witnesses who claimed Reynolds was intoxicated and became irate, grabbing a knife at one point.
He is now at the Jefferson County Jail where he faces felony aggravated assault, simple assault, and resisting arrest charges.
