Rockton Man Facing State Prison Sentence for Explosives

CLEARFIELD – A Rockton man has pleaded guilty to charges related to making and possessing homemade explosives.

According to Clearfield County Court documents, 30-year-old Derek McCracken entered a plea of guilty to felony charges of risking a catastrophe and unlawfully possessing explosives and weapons of mass destruction.

In December, police discovered the explosive devices in a DuBois apartment during a drug bust.

McCracken faces a state prison sentence of 18 months to seven years.
