District 10 Little League Softball and Baseball All-Star Tournaments:

In the District 10 Little League Junior All-Star baseball tournament Tuesday, DuBois defeated the Ridgway-Kane-Johnsonburg all stars, 13-1, in the first round. On Thursday, DuBois Juniors will face Brookville at 6pm. Watch all the action at Tri-County – dot – TV.

The DuBois Little League Major softballers will take on Bradford this evening in a losers bracket contest at 6. Tune in for the game on Sunny 106. A win by the DuBois Majors will earn them another shot at St. Marys-Fox Township in the championship round on Thursday.

The Major All Star baseball tournament gets underway on Thursday. DuBois will battle Brookville at Way Memorial Field in DuBois. The first round game is scheduled to begin at 6pm, and you can watch at Tri-County – dot – TV.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates dropped a 3-2 decision to Seattle last night at PNC Park.

Game two of the Pirates-Mariners series in Pittsburgh has a pregame show start time tonight of 6:15. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40 on Connect FM.

Altoona Curve:

The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve posted a 9-4 win over Reading last night. The Curve and R-Phils square off in game two of their six-game series at PNG Field in Altoona tonight with game time set for 6.

The Frank Varischetti All-Star Football Game:

Just two days away is the 11th annual Frank Varischetti All-Star Football Game in Brockway. Players from Brockway, DuBois, Punxsutawney, Ridgway, and St. Marys high schools will suit up for the North team while a few Brookville Raiders will participate with the South team. These all-stars are 2026 graduates representing District 9 high school football programs. In a special ceremony prior to Friday’s kickoff, more than 20 scholarships will be awarded to select players. The annual game is played on Brockway’s Frank Varischetti Field. Friday evening’s kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
