PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Punxsutawney man is facing several charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle while on drugs.
On May 11th, police responded to Cole Church Road in Bell Township for a report of a stolen vehicle. As police were responding, they were notified the vehicle was returned.
Police spoke to the alleged thief, 44 year-old Jesse Scott who claimed he purchased the vehicle and was acting erratic. Police then performed a sobriety test and took him into custody for DUI.
The victim claimed they did not know Scott, and there was some damage to the vehicle.
Scott is now in the Jefferson County Jail where he faces multiple felony theft charges.
