UNDATED – This week is Goodwill Week at Goodwill Industries showing that they are more than just a thrift store.
We heard from Jessica Illuzzi, PR and Social Media Coordinator for Goodwill, who said that every item you give helps turn donations into opportunities, funding job training, work programs, and support systems locally.
“It’s creating opportunities. It’s, you get to see people find purpose and find more than just a job. And like, you get to see them gain one skill and then another.”
Events are happening all week, including behind the scenes looks at their operations, a truck parade, half off sale on Saturday, and if you donate, you’ll get a coupon for a future visit.
