Robert L. Forbes, age 70, of DuBois, PA., passed on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at his home, with his family by his side.
Born on February 12, 1956, he was the son of the late Robert Forbes and Mary Lou (Fairman) Ackerman.
Bob graduated from Academy High School of Erie, attended California University where he studied respiratory therapy.
On September 14, 2002, Bob married the love of his life, Shelly (Paris) Forbes in Erie, PA. Shelly survives.
Bob was co-owner of Advantage Home Oxygen, he enjoyed being on the golf course and being a drummer in several bands but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his “Angles” (grandchildren).
In addition to his loving wife Shelly, Bob is survived by his children; Nathan Forbes of DuBois, Daniel Forbes of DuBois, Rachael (Jason) Connor of Philipsburg, Julia (James) Bogle of Falls Creek and a step-son Steven Druzak of DuBois, also his (grandchildren) Alexia Forbes, Lucas Connor, Carsen Connor, Ryan Bogle and Taylor Bogle, a sister Carole Chapman (John Walczak) of Erie and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded by his parents, step-father Joseph Ackerman and son Shawn Forbes.
As per Bob’s wishes there will be no public services.
Memorial donations may be made to donor’s choice.
