DuBois Man Accused of Strangling Woman

DUBOIS – A DuBois man is facing several charges after allegedly strangling a woman during a domestic dispute.

On April 29th police responded to a Locust Street residence for reports of a domestic dispute. 

Once on scene, police noticed 35 year-old Garrett Halowell yelling at a woman before he appeared to leave the scene. He was stopped by officers where he allegedly admitted to getting into an argument that turned physical.

The victim also told officers that during the argument he allegedly placed his arm around her neck. 

Halowell was then taken into custody and charged with felony strangulation and simple assault.
