CORSICA – A Corsica man is facing several charges after allegedly shutting off a natural gas valve in January, cutting heat to four homes.
Police say that 41 year-old Clinton Stout allegedly admitted to closing the valve after a dispute with Sigel Gas LLC claiming he believed it was his line, not realizing it would impact other customers.
While investigating, police learned that the gas company’s lock had been cut and replaced with another lock.
Stout has now been charged with felony risking catastrophe, criminal mischief – tampering with tangible property, and diversion of services.
