DUBOIS – An Indiana man has been jailed following a foot pursuit in DuBois.

On February 27th, police responded to the DuBois Giant Eagle after receiving reports of a suspicious man. Once on scene police found the man digging through a dumpster.

When questioned the man allegedly gave police a fake name before attempting to flee on foot.

After a brief pursuit he was taken into custody and identified as 33 year-old Joseph Carter.

Police also learned that Carter had an active warrant and allegedly had a baggie of pills, burnt spoon, and syringe on his person.

He was then taken to the Clearfield County Jail where he faces evading arrest, providing false identification, and drug charges.
