DUBOIS – An Erie woman will spend up to two years in State Prison after pleading guilty to assaulting a DuBois police officer.
This stems from a January 2024 incident where Troopers were dispatched to McCalmont Township for a disturbance. Once on scene, 34 year-old Samantha Yarger approached the vehicle acting erratically while under the influence of methamphetamines.
She then resisted officers as they tried to get her medical help, spitting in the face of a DuBois City police officer while at the hospital.
After pleading guilty to assault of a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct, she was sentenced to spend between six months to two years in State Prison with possibility of utilizing the State Drug Treatment Program.
