DUBOIS – A Rockton man has been jailed after police allegedly discovered a homemade explosive during a drug bust in a DuBois apartment.
On Wednesday morning, police were performing a narcotics search at a South Highland Street address, during which police discovered a black CO2 canister wrapped in black tape and wires coming out of it.
After calling in the Explosives Unit and disarming the explosive, 30 year-old Derek McCracken allegedly admitted to building the device.
He was then taken to the Clearfield County Jail where he faces risking catastrophe, weapons of mass destruction, and possession of explosives charges.
