ROCKTON – A Rockton man is facing multiple charges after being accused of rape in late May.
According to police on June 7th the 21 year-old victim reported to police that 66 year-old Brian Shaffer sexually assaulted her during a Memorial Day picnic at his residence.
The victim stated she had some drinks when Shaffer allegedly touched her. After telling him no, he allegedly forced her to perform sexual acts before she hit him in the groin.
When questioned, Shaffer allegedly told police the encounter was consensual.
Now, he has been charged with felony level rape by forcible compulsion and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.
