Ridgway Man Accused of Damaging Property/Stalking

RIDGWAY – A Ridgway man is behind bars after allegedly damaging properties in Ridgway while intoxicated.

On September 28th police received reports of a man throwing a brick at a 231 West Main Street residence. Once on scene police learned that 41 year-old Steven Anders was allegedly intoxicated when he threw a brick at the victim’s window before fleeing back to his apartment.

When police made contact with Anders, he allegedly resisted arrest and became combative. After a brief altercation was taken into custody and taken to the Elk County Jail where he faces felony stalking, resisting arrest, vandalism, and public drunkenness among other charges.

Police noted, a similar altercation happened the previous day.
