CURWENSVILLE – A Hanover man is facing several charges after attempting to meet who he thought was a teenage girl in Curwensville.
According to Curwensville police, 38 year-old Michael Beard was in contact with the group 814 Pred Hunters disguised as a 15 year-old girl.
Messages given to police allegedly showed a year of messages where Beard acknowledged the decoys’ age, asked for nude photos, and made sexual comments. Beard then made plans to meet the “teen” in Curwensville where he was met by police instead.
Beard was then taken to the Clearfield County Jail where he was charged with unlawful contact with a minor, attempted aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16, and corruption of minors charges.
