Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins scored a 2-1, preseason game win over the Detroit Red Wings last night. The win Improved the Pens’ preseason mark to 3-and-2. Two more tune-up games remain for the Penguins before they open the regular season next Tuesday at the New York Rangers.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
Just one day after the season was over for the Pittsburgh Pirates, it was announced that Don Kelly signed a contract extension to remain as Bucs’ manager. Kelly became manager on May 8th when he replaced Derek Shelton. While Kelly was the Pirates skipper, the team posted a 59-and-65 record.
