PIAA Baseball and Softball Playoffs:
5A Baseball – The DuBois Beavers play in the PIAA Championship today against Greencastle-Antrim today at Lubrano Park at Penn State University in State College.
We will be live on Sunny106 with the pregame show at 4pm, first pitch is at 4:30.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates played their third and final game against the LA Dodgers last night.
The Dodgers managed to score five runs within the first four innings, with the Pirates firing back with four runs in the 5th. The Dodgers then scored another three into the eight answered by two by the Bucs. They ultimately lost 8-6.
They play again tonight at 6:40pm, this time against the Miami Marlins. You can listen to the Bucs with the pregame show on ConnectFM at 6:15pm.
The Bucs continue their three game bout against the Marlins on Saturday with first pitch at 4:05pm and Sunday at 12:15pm.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve played against the Chesapeake Baysox last night scoring zero runs against the Baysox’s four.
Tonight they play the Baysox again tonight, Saturday, and Sunday, all games start at 6pm
