Pittsburgh Pirates:

The season is over for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Sunday, the Bucs lost to the Braves in Atlanta, 4-1.

Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes finished the year with an earned run average of just 1.97, which will likely earn him the 2025 Cy Young Award.

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins won their first two home preseason games: 3-2 over Detroit Friday, and a 4-1 win over Columbus Saturday. The Saturday game was a special event for longtime Penguins goalie, Marc-Andre Fleury. Fleury played 13 of his 22 professional seasons in Pittsburgh, and was on three of the Penguins’ Stanley Cup winning teams.
