Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates lost an early lead and got doubled up by the San Francisco Giants yesterday, 4-2. The Giants won the series over the Bucs at PNC Park, two games to one.
The Pirates embark on a four-game series with the Cincinnati Reds at PNC Park tonight. Today’s Bucs-Reds matchup starts at 6:40 on Connect FM. Listen for the pregame show this evening at 6:15.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve pulled out a 1-0 victory over Hartford last night at PNG Field. The game was a pitcher’s duel as the Curve and Yard Goats totaled only five hits overall. The Curve plated the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Tonight in Altoona, the Curve face Hartford in game three of the series at 6pm.
Pittsburgh Steelers:
A public practice is scheduled for the Pittsburgh Steelers this afternoon at their Training Camp at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, It’s the final workout for the Steelers prior to their first preseason game Saturday evening against the Jaguars in Jacksonville.
