DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:
At the Senior League Baseball East Region Tournament in Bangor, Maine, the DuBois Senior League All Stars shut out the New York team on Wednesday, 2-0. The DuBois Seniors are scheduled to play Connecticut at 2 this afternoon. Tune in for live action on Connect FM.
This weekend, the DuBois Junior All Stars are hosting the Junior League Baseball East Region Tournament at Stern Field. Games begin Saturday, but DuBois isn’t scheduled to play until Sunday night. DuBois will play the winning team of Saturday night’s game between New Jersey and Massachusetts. The DuBois Major All Stars fell in the Sectional Tournament championship game on Wednesday. The Butler Township All Stars knocked DuBois out, 10-0.
DuBois Little League All Star Softball:
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old softball All Stars came up short to Bullskin in State Tournament competition in Drexel Hill on Wednesday. The final score was Bullskin 11, DuBois 1.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates will be hosting the Chicago White Sox for a three game series this weekend.
The first pitch of the Bucs-White Sox game Friday is set for 6:40pm.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve resume action following the All Star break with a three-game home series against Akron. Friday night, the Curve host the Rubber Ducks for a 6:30 game at PNG Field in Altoona.
