DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:
This morning, the DuBois Senior League Baseball All Stars will be vying for the state championship at Stern Field. The DuBois Seniors have a rematch with Newville, who they defeated 10-5 on Wednesday. Tune in for live action at 11 this morning on Connect FM and on Tri County dot TV.
The DuBois Junior Baseball All Stars will take on St. Marys this evening in the District 10 Championship game. Listen on Sunny 106, and watch at Tri County dot TV, beginning at 6pm.
The DuBois Major All Stars begin Sectional Tournament play on Saturday. The first round opponent for DuBois will be French Creek at 2pm.Tune in for that game live on Connect FM, and on Tri County dot TV.
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars have advanced to the Sectional Tournament in Meadville which starts Saturday.
DuBois Little League All Star Softball:
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old softball All Stars won the Sectional Tournament championship Wednesday. The DuBois Softball Minors will begin State Tournament competition in Drexel Hill on Sunday
The DuBois Junior Softball All Stars were eliminated from the State Tournament in Turbotville Thursday. Radnor slipped past DuBois, 16-15.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates are in Minnesota, ready to begin a three-game weekend series with the Twins. The Bucs will be trying to bounce back from a six game losing streak on the road.
Tonight’s first pitch in Minnesota is scheduled for 8:10.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve lost in Binghamton last night, 2-1. Altoona is now on a five-game losing skid. Game four of the Curve series in New York is scheduled to begin at 7:05 this evening.
