DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:
Last night, the DuBois Senior League Baseball All Stars put together a 5-4 win over the Mid Valley All Stars in the first round of the State Tournament being played at Stern Field. Tune in for DuBois Seniors live action again at 5 this afternoon on Connect FM and on Tri County dot TV. DuBois Seniors will be taking on South Williamsport.
The DuBois Junior Baseball All Stars will be facing either St. Marys or Elk County in the District 10 Championship Wednesday at 6pm. The game will be live on Sunny 106 and Tri County dot TV.
The DuBois Major All Stars begin Sectional tournament play on Saturday, July 12th.
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars claimed the District 10 Championship Monday with an 8-5 win over St. Marys. The DuBois team advances to the Sectional Tournament in Meadville which starts Saturday.
DuBois Little League All Star Softball:
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old softball All Stars notched a 3-2 win over Fort Lebeouf in the Sectional Tournament yesterday. The DuBois Minors will face either Titusville or Fort Lebeouf at 6 Wednesday evening for the Sectional championship.
The DuBois Junior Softball All Star team begins State Tournament competition in Watsontown today.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates lost, 9-3, in Kansas City last night.
Pittsburgh will play the Royals again this evening at 7:40.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve start a six-game series in Binghamton this evening. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:07.
