The District 10 Little League All Star Baseball Tournaments continue this week …
The DuBois Junior Baseball All Stars will next face the Elk County All Stars in a winner’s bracket matchup Thursday evening. Tune in for live coverage of that game on Sunny 106 at 6pm, or watch the action at Tri County dot TV.
The DuBois Major All Stars have been making their way unscathed through the winner’s bracket of their tournament. On Wednesday, the DuBois Majors will be playing Bradford at Way Memorial Field in DuBois. Listen live on Connect FM Wednesday at 6 as the DuBois Major All Stars continue their push for the District 10 title.
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars have dropped into the lower bracket in their tournament, but are still alive. DuBois 8 to 10-year olds will face Brookville in tournament action on Wednesday.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates are red hot! The Bucs blanked the St. Louis Cardinals Monday night, 7-0, at PNC Park. Pittsburgh has won six of their last eight games.
Tonight, the Bucs and Cards play game two of the series at 6:40. Listen for the pregame show on Connect FM at 6:15 this evening.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve have won five of their last six games. Tonight, Altoona starts a six-game, home-and-home series with Harrisburg. The game at PNG Field tonight begins at 6pm.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
In the 2025 NHL Draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins had three first-round picks for the first time in over 40 years. Pittsburgh selected a trio of forwards – Ben Kindel, Bill Zonnon, and Will Horcoff. The Pens used their lone second round selection to choose Peyton Kettles, a defenseman. Pittsburgh had a total of 13 picks in this year’s NHL Draft.
