DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:

The District 10 Little League All Stars Tournament rolls on …

The DuBois Junior Baseball All Stars begin their district tournament tonight. Live action of the Junior Tournament games involving the DuBois All Stars will come your way on Sunny 106, starting with the 6pm DuBois and Punxsutawney matchup this evening.

On Saturday, the DuBois Major All Stars will have a winner’s bracket matchup against Bradford. Listen live on Connect FM Saturday afternoon at 4 as the DuBois All Stars take on Bradford in the Major Division. The game will be played at Way Memorial Field in DuBois.

The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars have been advancing through the winner’s bracket and will take on St. Marys Sunday afternoon.

In the District 10 Little League All Star Softball tournaments …

DuBois claimed the Junior division championship Thursday night with a 17-2 win over Brookville. Sectional Tournament action begins for DuBois on Tuesday.

In the Major division, the DuBois All Stars will take on St. Marys in a championship matchup tonight. The game will be played in St. Marys.

The DuBois 8 to 10-year old softball All Stars host Punxsutawney on Saturday for the district championship game.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates will host the New York Mets for three games this weekend.

Tonight, the Bucs and Mets play at 6:40. Listen for the pregame show on Connect FM at 6:15 this evening.

Altoona Curve:

The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve have won three games in a row. The latest Curve win was a 3-2 decision over the Chesapeake BaySox last night. Game four of Altoona’s series in Maryland is scheduled to begin tonight at 7:05.

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The NHL Draft begins tonight, and the Pittsburgh Penguins will have a total of 11 selections, including a pair of back-to-back picks in the first round. Pittsburgh picks 11th and 12th in the first round of the draft. The Pens will also get three selections in the third round of the league’s draft.
