On Saturday, the DuBois Senior All Stars shut out the All Stars from Smethport, Mt. Jewett, and Bradford, 29-0. DuBois swept their way through the best of three tournament, and has advanced to the Sectional Tournament which begins next Monday.
Tuesday, the DuBois Major All Stars will be back in action following their 9-0 victory over the combo team of Potter-McKean All Stars Friday evening. Listen live on Connect FM as DuBois takes on Punxsutawney All Stars at 6pm tomorrow.
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars are still alive. Following a 6-1 victory over Warren on Saturday, DuBois will now face Brookville in the winner’s bracket on Wednesday.
The DuBois Junior All Stars begin their district tournament on Friday. Junior Tournament games will come your way on Sunny 106 starting with the DuBois and Punxsutawney matchup at 6pm Friday.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ bats came alive Sunday, and the Bucs posted an 8-3 win over the Texas Rangers at PNC Park. The Pirates begin a short road trip to Milwaukee tonight . The Bucs-Brewers game tonight is scheduled to start at 7:35. Tune in for Pirates pregame at 7:15 on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve fell to the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 2-1, Sunday at PNG Field. On Tuesday, Altoona begins a six-game series in Maryland against the Chesapeake BaySox.
