DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:
The DuBois Little League Baseball All Stars have begun District 10 tournament play.
Wednesday evening, the DuBois Major All Stars upended the combo team of Smethport, Mt. Jewett and Kane in DuBois by a score of 15-1. The DuBois Major All Stars advance in the winner’s bracket and will play the Potter-McKean All Stars on Friday at 6pm. Listen live on Connect FM.
Today, the DuBois Senior All Stars will be in action against a Smethport, Mt. Jewett, Bradford combo team. Listen for that game on Connect FM at 6pm this evening.
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars are scheduled to take on the Smethport, Mt. Jewett, Kane combo team on the combo team’s home field today. The winners of that game will face Warren All Stars on Saturday.
The DuBois Junior All Stars begin their district tournament on June 27th. Those games will come your way on Sunny 106.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ game in Detroit last night was postponed due to rain. The Pirates and Tigers are scheduled to play a doubleheader today. The first game of the twin bill begins at 1:10 this afternoon. The Bucs-Detroit pregame show starts at 12:45.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve managed a 2-1 home win last night over the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The Curve continue their series at PNG Field tonight against Richmond as the teams play a doubleheader to make up Tuesday’s postponement. First pitch of the twin bill’s first game is set for 5pm.
