DUBOIS – Police in our area are beginning to enforce a new distracted driving law.

Last week the Paul Miller Law, a law that prohibits mobile device use while driving a motor vehicle, went into effect.

Now, as DuBois and Sandy Township Police Chief Kris Kruzelak says, his officers will be enforcing this law.

“With the new Pa law, the Paul Miller Law, being on your phone is a violation now,“ explained Chief Kruzelak. “So our officers will be enforcing that.”

If you are pulled over for violating the Paul Miller Law, you will receive a warning until June of 2026 where you will then be fined.
