District 9 Baseball and Softball:

MONDAY BASEBALL SCOREBOARD

DuBois Central Catholic 11, Brockway 1 – Carter Himes went 2-for-4 at the plate for DCC and drove in three runs. Brayden Fox earned the win for the Cardinals giving up only one unearned run on three hits, and striking out eight.

*The Curwensville at Marion Center, and Elk County Catholic at Port Allegany games were postponed due to the weather.

MONDAY SOFTBALL SCOREBOARD

Keystone 27, Elk County Catholic 17

*The Karns City at Punxsutawney, and Mount Union at Curwensville games were postponed due to the weather.

 

Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State DuBois baseball team rides a 23-6 overall record into a home double-header on Friday. Penn State DuBois will be hosting Penn State Beaver.

Wednesday evening, the Penn State DuBois softball team is scheduled to host a double-header against Carlow College. Then on Friday, Penn State DuBois will play two at Penn State Hazleton.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The struggling Pittsburgh Pirates play their next six games in LA. Tonight, the Bucs face the Angels at 9:35. You can catch the Pirates-Angels pregame show on Connect FM tonight at 9:10.

 

Altoona Curve:

The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve take a two-game win streak into Maryland today and will start a six-game series against the Chesapeake BaySox. Tonight’s first pitch at Prince George’s Stadium is set for 6:05.

The NFL draft begins Thursday night. The Connect FM Under Review team is getting ready to broadcast live from the Hitching Post in DuBois from 6 to 8pm.
