Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:
The Penn State DuBois baseball team has now won 14 of its last 15 games following a sweep of two double-headers against Penn State Allegheny over the weekend. Penn State DuBois recorded wins of 13-5, 4-3, 4-2, and 8-1. Meanwhile, the Penn State DuBois softball team split a Sunday twin bill with Penn State Fayette. Penn State DuBois won the first game, 26-5; and fell in game two, 17-7.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates had a lousy weekend in Cincinnati. The Reds swept the three-game series from the Bucs, including a 4-0 shutout Sunday. Tonight, the Bucs host Washington for a 6:40 game. Listen for the Pirates-Nationals pregame show at 6:15pm on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Altoona Curve wrapped up a six-game series in Akron with a 13-1 loss to the Rubber Ducks on Sunday. Altoona was 2-and-4 in the series. This week, Altoona is hosting Somerset for a six-game set Tuesday through Sunday.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Penguins will play their final game of the season. On Sunday, Boston beat the Pens at PPG Paints Arena, 4-1. Pittsburgh hosts Washington for the season finale. The Pens-Caps pregame show begins at 6:30pm Thursday, and the opening face-off will be at 7… on Sunny 106.
